Singapore-based publisher Proxima Beta (a subsidiary of Tencent), which is now listed under the likes of PUBG Mobile, Alchemy Stars, and Contra Returns, is set to host a CBT for a mobile MMORPG called Chimeraland. It is made in a fantasy style based on Chinese mythology. The developers promise an open world with a huge number of mountains and mystical creatures. Starting July 6th, travelers will be able to apply to participate in the beta, but there are conditions.
The CBT will run from July 20 to August 4. Registration can be done through the official website. Apparently, gamers on iOS and Android will participate, you just need to provide your mail. But this is not the most important thing – the beta test will be regional, it will be held among Canadian and Filipino players. 5,000 testers will be selected from all applications.
According to Proxima Beta and Pocket Gamer, the map is huge – 836 square kilometers. Characters can be customized, and the emphasis is on upgrading weapons and equipment. Pets need to be looked after, they can evolve. There is no release date for Chimeraland. Probably it will be a shareware project with all that it implies.
