Nintendo is set to launch Pokémon UNITE on Nintendo Switch this month. Previously, we only knew the approximate release date for smartphones and Switch, but now the publisher has shared more details. We will talk about this at the end of the news, now let’s talk about the game itself. This is an action game with elements from the MOBA. Gamers are divided into two teams, which must defeat forest creeps and enemy Pokémon, collecting energy from them and hammering it into the ring like a basketball.
The arenas are small, probably even smaller than in League of Legends: Wild Rift, with three lines. Pokémon is gradually pumped and evolved, each of them has its own unique abilities. For example, Pikachu can run away and “shy away” the enemy with lightning, which makes him a difficult opponent.
Pokémon UNITE will release on July 21st on Nintendo Switch. The release on smartphones will take place in September, we are waiting for the exact release date. It will be a shareware project with all the consequences; there is also cross-play support between mobile platforms (All thanks to one account that will have to be created before starting the game).
